I'm working on a new short story called, 'The Story of a Toad Out of Water'. I think we can all agree that it will be amazing.
To make it better, I'm thinking of some interesting plot twists involving the chief protagonist of the book and some of the supporting characters.
1. Boris Slaughterhouse isn't really a twin.
2. A perceived misfortune in Fairydust Parker's past was actually set up to protect her.
3. Boris Slaughterhouse faked his own disappearance.
4. The person claiming to be Boris Slaughterhouse is actually an imposter.
5. Jessica MacDonald and Boris Slaughterhouse are both manifestations of Fairydust Parker's subconscious.
6. Boris Slaughterhouse is actually Fairydust Parker's brother.
7. Jessica MacDonald's dying utterances are actually a premonition
8. Jessica MacDonald has been a doll all along.
9. The town they live in doesn't really exist.
10. Boris Slaughterhouse is an imaginary friend.
11. Boris Slaughterhouse was stolen as a baby and brought up by kidnappers.
12. Boris Slaughterhouse was adopted and didn't know.
13. Fairydust Parker has been possessed the whole time.
14. The story is just one iteration of an infinite loop.
15. The beginning of the story was staged by Jessica MacDonald to try and drive Fairydust Parker insane.
16. The whole things is not a story but a brainwashing tool used by the government.
17. Boris Slaughterhouse is head of the criminal organisation they've been fighting.
18. Fairydust Parker has secret powers resulting from a strange potion.
19. The narrator is unreliable and half the plot never happened.
20. The person we think is the villain is actually working for a bigger villain.
